Pokémon turns thirty in 2026. To celebrate, there is a special set: the 30th Celebration. Here is what it is, what is inside and which product fits you.
What is the 30th Celebration?
The 30th Celebration is an anniversary set for the Pokémon TCG, released on 16 September 2026. It is not a regular expansion but a look back at thirty years of Pokémon. The set has more than 160 cards, and every card is foil.
One new thing is the Futuristic Rare, a new rarity with artwork by artist YOSHIROTTEN. The set also includes 30 Classic Collection reprints: famous cards from the past, printed again.
What is in a booster pack?
A pack holds five foil cards, one foil Basic Energy and a code for Pokémon TCG Live. The fun part: every pack has one of the 30 Pikachu cards, each by a different illustrator. Time to collect them all.
Good to know: the Classic Collection cards are not legal in Standard. They are mostly for collecting, or for formats where the original print is allowed. Not sure what Standard is? Read Standard vs Expanded.
Which products are there?
The set comes in several forms. An Elite Trainer Box holds 9 booster packs. An ex Box, such as the Sylveon ex Box and the Greninja ex Box, holds 4 packs. A Booster Bundle has 6 packs. There are also tins with an ex card on the lid, and later come Battle Decks and bigger premium collections, among others.
We keep an eye on what arrives and only show what is in stock. You can see everything in one place on our 30th Celebration page.
Which product should you choose?
Want to open as many cards as possible? Pick a product with more packs, such as an Elite Trainer Box or a Booster Bundle. Want a nice gift or a collectible? An ex Box or a tin is fun to give or to keep. Pulled a great card? Protect it right away with a sleeve and a toploader.
