What exactly is a sleeved booster?

A sleeved booster is a single Pokémon booster pack that the manufacturer has already sealed inside a thin, clear wrapper, on top of the pack's own regular foil. That extra layer protects the pack against light exposure and against weighing, a technique some people used to try to identify heavier, card-rich packs before opening them.

For collectors that is a double benefit: the pack stays in better condition if you want to keep it sealed, and the extra sleeve makes it easier to open one pack at a time without damaging the original wrapper.

Sleeved boosters are usually sold individually, just like regular loose boosters, and come from the same sets. The only difference is that extra protective layer.

Sleeved booster or a regular booster pack?

If you just want to open a pack to play or collect, it makes no difference, feel free to choose regular booster packs. If you want to keep a pack sealed as a keepsake or to display later, the extra sleeve is a small benefit for condition.

Store sleeved boosters in a dry, dark place, upright or flat makes little difference as long as nothing is resting weight on top.
